LBPSB Archived Audit Committee Reports, Inaccessible

Signing ceremony at LBPSB Council June 2007. Marcus Tabachnick, Bob. Mills and foreign educational representatives.

Note: Following  up on this article, which was posted this morning, we like to report that the LBPSB has  rectified the situation by making the LBPSB Audit Committee Reports once more accessible to the public. We thank Karen Seidman, retired Gazette reporter, for informing us.

The Lester B. Pearson School Board continues to obfuscate information on it’s lucrative International School Programs. At the time of  writing, the LBPSB monthly audit committee reports are inaccessible thus not giving the public the legal right to seek information about their public school boards financial operation.

Since the inception of the LBPSB International schools under the direction of Ex chairman, Marcus Tabachnick, the program has been shrouded in mystery with any request for more information being answered vaguely or not at all.

Although the school board was recently forced to admit that it takes in millions of  dollars annually (Approximately 20 million dollars this year), it makes no recognition of such in it’s annual reports.

Where did the money go? A reasonable question from ACDSA,  the general public, teachers and parents that must be answered by the LBPSB Council by Mondays council meeting.
